Meet your community liaison:
Hello new faces! I am Brittany, the new community liaison at Phoenix Mountain Post Acute. Before I come to see you or a family member bedside, or meet you onsite at our facility, I wanted to give you a few facts about me and share why am I am proud to be in this role, and planning on staying a long time.
Growing up in California I was an active member of any group I was involved in from performance to community. It was instilled in me that we rise by lifting others. I studied Business Administration from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and instead of pursuing a Masters Degree, I opened a business in Arizona to apply hands on my knowledge of building and developing people in the business of marketing and advertising. After nearly a decade as an entrepreneur I was ready for a new challenge and also a place to put my skills to use.
After meeting with the team at Phoenix Mountain Post Acute, I knew this was going to be my next family. From the department managers to the daily staff and even the residents, everyone interacts like they would with their own kin.
When I am not out and about meeting patients and case managers, or in the office supporting my team, I am busy producing a podcast and planning wedding.
The Finding Arizona Podcast was started in 2015 with the simple idea of giving local creatives and entrepreneurs a voice here in the valley. After nearly 200 episodes we have learned not only how to produce a top podcast, but are now teaching others to do the same. On top of producing a podcast in our home studio we are also planning a wedding at it.
In the winter of 2017 the love of my life asked me to marry him at his grandparent’s 50th wedding anniversary in Puerto Rico. After finding our forever home in historic Phoenix we began planning a wedding in our own backyard with the ceremony planned for October 2019.
A few fun things about me is I have to have dessert after every dinner and I prefer vintage over new any day, especially dollar days at Goodwill.
Thanks for getting to know me and I look forward to getting to know each and everyone of you! Welcome to Phoenix Mountain!
